Liked: Probably the best hostel in Oz and NZ I've seen so far. The rooms are very nice, there are even chairs and table in dorms which is very good, kitchen is big and clean and there's enough space to hang around in the common room.

Disliked: washing machines are a bit old and sometimes unreliable but that's not too bad.

Liked: The staff were incredibly nice and very helpful, and the location was perfect - just far enough out of the centre to be fairly quiet at night, but directly across the street from Lake Wakatipu and a short walk (10 minutes or less) anywhere in the town centre.

Disliked: No toilet in the common area, so you had to go back to your room and either take your things with you or entrust them to someone else in the common area. Kitchen gets a bit cramped and it can be difficult to find space in the fridges.

Liked: Nice clean rooms, comfy beds, good social atmosphere, kitchen really nice and clean. Not a lot to dislike frankly. Reception staff awesome.

Liked: The staff were very lovely! Even before getting to Bumbles as a guest, I emailed them queries about booking activities and not only were their responses prompt but they also booked the activities for me (special shout out to 'Malin' who was lovely)! At the end of our stay, we were close to missing our bus to Christchurch and a staff member was very helpful in calling the taxi for us and standing outside to help move our stuff.

Disliked: nothing.

Liked: Clean, close to town but far enough to get a quiet nights sleep. Had heaters in the room which was great cos it was snowing and freezing. Big communal kitchen and lounge with movie nights

Liked: Good location, 2 minute walk into town but far enough away you cant hear all the bars in the evening. Good showers.

Disliked: Had a lower bunk bed which was a mistake, there is about 60cm between the matress and the bunk above... almost impossible to get in and out off. Found staff to be quite off. The kitchen gets cleaned between 11-12 everyday I think, dont be rude to me when I start cooking at 12.20 if you havent finished cleaning. The hobs are electic as well, the ones that work take forever to heat up... Finding a hob that works can be tricky if there are more than 2 people in the kitchen.
