The kitchen area was fun to hang out in and there were a good range of cooking implements to use. I also liked that the bathrooms were clean.

the rooms and facilities here weren't just good, they were amazing! our hostel double room was not only clean and spacious, it had a modern and up to date decore, flat screen tv and beautiful on suite with amazing power shower....all for about $80! better than some hotel rooms even! kitchen was also really spacious and well equipped. also only 10min walk to town and 5 mins from supermarket. this hostel has been the best 1 i've stayed in while travelling around whole of New Zealand.

Each building has similar people in them. We are quiet and there were no roudy people in our buidling. Also the walls were thick, little disturbance at night.

Good sized room for two. Room very close to amenities. Quiet location. Single level buildings with spacious grounds. Helpul and friendly staff.

It was a short walk into town. Very convenient. The showers were hot and the room had heat.

\i liked that it was in a quiet location away from traffic noise.
\i did not like that the clientele did not seem to want to clean up after themselves and there was not an air of extreme cleanliness about the kitchen. \i have stayed at others where people would not dare to leave dirty dishes. Also - entire kitchen lounge area was freezing cold most of the time. not good in winter.
