Liked: Great views but still close to the centre of Queenstown (we did have a car), comfy beds so good nights sleep before going tramping.

Disliked: Private rooms no ensuite, a bit of an old building and very poor sound proofing didn't allow for a great nights sleep

Liked: The hostel is overlooking the lake...the views are amazing. The hostel is only a 5 minute walk from town and you can book all trips there with discount if a YHA member.

Disliked: Wasn't overly cheap but for the location couldn't complain

Liked: Very clean communal area and bathrooms. Great, roomy kitchen.

Disliked: The rooms were a bit musty, and the beds were older. The rest of the hostel is immaculately clean, so I was surprised that the rooms were not as great.

Liked: Big Clean Kitchen, right across from the lake

Disliked: Metal bars on the bunk beds hurt your feet when you climbed up the beds! Expensive internet.

Liked: Nice big kitchen, movie/tv room, nice big bathroom area

Disliked: Not really an outside area. The sleeping rooms aren't that clean and nice. Not fun to read all the dirty talk above me when lying in bed.

Liked: It was very clean and I had a nice room with a balcony. It was right in town so it was easy to get to from anywhere.

Disliked: Bar next door was loud. I felt like i was being babysat by the staff sometimes if I came in at night with others even if we weren't trashed. Strict rules about everything. Expensive. Most people moved to southern laughter for cheaper/ more laid back place.

Liked: It´s a perfect location. In front of the Lake, you have a awesome view of Remarkables, enjoy walking along the lake and be a few metres from downtown. The staff it´s friendly and helpfull. Everything is clean and organized!!

Liked: Lovely location by the lakeside but still easy walking distance (10mins) from all the shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were really helpful when we were trying to decide which activites to do and were able to recommend different companies. Given the activities were all great, their recommendations worked out very well!
