Liked: Nice, clean ensuite bathroom, breakfast was decent, lots of parking.

Disliked: Couldn't enjoy the magnificent view if you didn't have a private room - a communal deck area would have been awesome. And the bunk beds were a bit rickety...

Liked: A very clean and well maintained place. Great view of Queenstown from the balcony.

Disliked: We were on a bus to Queenstown and they dropped us at the Station as they told us that they were not going to the Reavers Lodge. It was a long walk from the Station and a steep hike from the road. I would've given 5 stars on the staffs rating, but the reservation was a total letdown. Hostelbookers website does mention that 2 days cancellation policy applies with the 10% deposit being let go, which is fair enough. We cancelled one of our nights there (we needed to do some schedule shuffling due to the snow storm in Queenstown) and was told that the reservation cannot be cancelled within 60 days (yes, that is sixty days). Despite many phone calls and emails exchanges between hostelbookers, Reavers Lodge and myself, in the end we still had to pay for the full amount, which was ridiculous.

Liked: There was a hot tub in the enclosure near the kitchen, and the kettle and toaster on each floor which saved going to the kitchen for a cuppa 1st thing in the morning.

Disliked: A little bit of a trek into town as it was on the outskirts.

Liked: This is an amazing hostel, more like a hotel. We loved our stay. All the staff were extemely helpful and polite. There is a steep but short hill to climb to get to heostel but it is well worth the view and good exercise. We would definately stay again.

Liked: The view from the hostel is awesome. If you have a car, it's a perfect, clean and cheap accomodation. If you don't have a car, you will have to walk up a large hill and approx. 20-25 min. from town to get here.

Disliked: Nothing. It was a GREAT place! Best hostel I've stayed at.

Liked: One of the better places in Queenstown, if you can handle the walk up the hill.

Disliked: The shower was goofy. What we really hated though was that they allowed the people right next to us to be loud all night and smoke right outside our door. We sat in OUR room and smelled smoke for a couple hours in our room. We hate smoke and it gives us headaches.

Liked: Lovely big room with complementary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel along with a towel (didnt have to pay extra for as in the case with some hostels). Large kitchen with ample kitchenware and large communal room to eat and watch tv. Great location, right in town and great views over it (although up a steep hill) but it doesnt kill you to walk up it as it isnt far. Even a hot tub in the court yard, nice touch!

Disliked: The bed was comfy but too soft and me and my boyfriend would wake up after rolling into the ditch in the middle of the bed. Also paper thin walls, had a family next door and it felt like the child was screaming in our room! The hostel has a quiet time policy but try complaining about a crying child, not a lot they can do!

Liked: Great views! Nice clean room. Fridge in room!

Disliked: Felt a bit like cooking in a campsite kitchen, havng to carry all your food etc from your room. In some ways a good idea though.
