Liked: It is right beside the ferry, the staff are great and the rooms are very clean.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: It was close to the ferry and to the city centre.

Disliked: The people is not friendly. You have to pay extra for everything, even for the bed linen.

Liked: It was conveniently located near my bus drop off point. I had the dorm room to myself.

Disliked: It was strange that i was not given a key for the room, it was always open which did not feel very secure. You have to pay extra for linen and there was a damp smell in my room.

Liked: Stayed here 10 years ago - so decided to come again.

Disliked: Owing to the ill health of the Hosts the property is getting ' tired' and needs a face lift.

Liked: Great kitchen, lots of space in rooms and communal areas, clean, staff were chatty and decent location.

Disliked: Family establishment so not a great place to meet people, but could be a positive depending on your viewpoint.

Liked: Good location but that's about it

Disliked: They didn't have record of our booking, then eventually made us move rooms and we had to pay for bedding. In the morning you have to leave by 10.30am and the kitchen and bathroom both close for cleaning at 10am!

Liked: Plenty of space and good kitchen facilities, along with being right near the ferry port.

Disliked: Paying extra for sheets - we were made aware of this before booking the hostel, but it isn't common these days!

Liked: everything close to centre of picton fast computers for internet access (firefox) / explorer has update issues and you could pay with coins. clean and very friendly staff

Liked: it was a very nice stay in this hostel!!!!! for the first time since few month travelling around New Zealand, i felt like home!!! awesome staff, very friendly and perfect balcony!!! if you have to stay couple of night in Picton, i d definitely recommend this place!!!

Disliked: it s just like any other hostel!!! you have to pay for internet! and when you spent 24$ for a night or more!!! the less you can expect is free Wifi....

Liked: Nice large lounge area and plenty of room in the kitchen. don't like having to pay to use small lockers though.

Liked: This place was nice the man on reception very nice and friendly the dog that lives their is cute aswell only downfall is there is no locks for the doors so anyone can come into your room however i did feel safe and welcome there

Liked: Well, it's close to the ferry and train station, but it doesn't blow you away - it was fine for one night but anymore, not sure. Room was freezing as well - other rooms too - and there were no heaters at all

Liked: It's right next to the ferry and bus terminal which is handy. Owners were lovely. Very quiet, but nice if you get in late and have to leave early like we did.
