Overview

YHA Anakiwa Lodge is a boutique accommodation lodge similar to a small hotel, a 25 min scenic drive from Picton. An ideal self contained base for walking, kayaking or mountain biking in the Marlborough Sounds

Anakiwa is also the start (or end point) of the Queen Charlotte Track, which extends 71km up to Ships Cove. The walking track passes through typical New Zealand native bush, farmland and many coastal bays, popular with both walkers and mountain bike enthusiasts. Our lodge is only 2 minutes walk from the start of the track and 70m from the shore.

YHA Anakiwa Lodge is perfect for that stressfree romantic break. Or if you have energy to burn, there are some beautiful native bush walks, a volley ball court or take our kayaks for a tour of the bays

Accommodation Information

We offer excellent facilities in which to wind down. Enjoy a glass of wine on the deck, take a soak in the large modern spa, or select from over 300 DVD’s and retire to the movie lounge for some big screen entertainment. There is a range of quality economical accommodation options to suit both couples, backpackers and small family groups. Backpackers are the new generation of budget travellers who enjoy spending time with other guests discussing their travels and experiences. Not a boring hotel or motel room where you are isolated from the community.

Our guests are from all walks of life, young students, couples, families. Some are on a tight budget and others are very well heeled travelers on vacation or a retirement holiday. Our quality private double en suite rooms allow as much or as little interaction with other guests as you desire.

Our rooms are very modern and all beds are quality innerspring, fully made up with towels supplied. Ultra clean bathrooms complete with soap, shampoo, hair driers and heated towel rails.
