Liked: We liked the hot tub, the human sized chess board, the hammocks, and of course, the chocolate pudding!!! We also liked how the tv room was set up, kind of small, but they had the seating tiered, like a movie theatre, so you could fit a bunch more people. The kitchen was nice, lots of cooking space and dishes.

Disliked: that they only let us have one serving of pudding! :)

Liked: finally bunk beds that don't move when you or the person above/under you turns around or climbs in his/her bed! perfect! had a really good night of sleep! the chocolate pudding at 8PM is nice!!! nice staff, pick up/drop of at the ferry terminal if you want. clean. nice atmosphere

Disliked: matresses could be a bit better, but they're still fine

Liked: I can bring wine from outside Free Wifi

Disliked: Only 50MB per day free, after you have to pay for the Internet. Everywhere else in the world, Internet is unlimited, included in the price.

Liked: This hostel had a great atmosphere, with a real homely feel to it. Chocolate pudding and ice cream in the evening is well worth the visit, as is the hot tub!

Liked: Very good hostel with an outstanding atmosphere. Due to its smaller size it gives a very cozy atmosphere with a very friendly staff. Another bonus is the daily offer of free ice cream and chocolate pudding at 8 pm, which serves as a perfect opportunity to get in touch with other backpackers at the hostel. Customers coming by ferry from the northern island will even be picked up from the terminal for free and driven to the hostel. Really great service!

Liked: free chocolate pudding - so good! we loved it here so much we booked in at their sister hostel in nelson too, called tasman bay. they also supply oil and some spices which makes your meal way better. kitchen size was more than adequate and well equipped. we had a regular double room which was a good size and the bed was ultra comfortable. free ferry pickup and drop off, free bike use, free outdoor spa use, free breakfast was the best which was four types of cereal as well as toast and jams. try the dutch bakery in town for good pie and cake!

Disliked: nothing, it was awesome, best hostel we stayed at in NZ

Liked: Nice hostel, more like a home with character. Definitely the coziest backpackers i've been to! nice fireplace for the winter, there is a hot tub but it wasn't on when i arrived, rooms get cold but theres extra blankets and hot water bottles in the hallway!! and yes i read the other reviews before picking here, and yes the free pudding w/ ice cream is awesome!

Liked: Oh the Chocolate cake and Ice Cream at 8.00 pm. This is legendary and we spread the word to other travellers in other hostels.

Liked: nice living room and the terrace. just a nice place to hang out and read a book.

Disliked: it was a little bit cold during the first night but everything was nice during the second one. it was also impossible to lock the dorm-room-door and they had no lockers. no personal problem for me but some might dislike that.

Liked: they do free pick ups and drop offs from the ferry, and the atmosphere was great at this place. felt like home. the free hot choclate pudding and ice cream at night was verry good. everybody was sitting around and having a warm desert. like this it was verry easy to meet new people.

Liked: Very friendly staff, extremely clean, free wifi, free hot chocolate pudding and ice cream, free breakfast, free use of hot tub - book a private slot, great at night when the stars are out! Free pick up from ferry terminal, even stoppped an ATM for us as we didn't have much cash so saved us a walk! Decent sized rooms and beds too.
