Liked: Opoutere itself is a beautiful place, lovely beaches and forest walks. About the actual hostel,... not a lot, outdoor picnik tables were nice..If you like school camps you may enjoy this hostel

Disliked: Very unhelpful - rude staff! They stuffed up the booking, said they couldnt get us in a 5 female only dorm, so had "upgraded" us to a 12 dorm MIXED. No appology, only gave us a discount after we asked several times. Another girl in the 12dorm said she had also booked the 5, so we can only guess they had a group booking of 5 after we booked and they assumed it was fine to shift people around without telling them. The dorms were always left open, no lockers and the kitchen was too small for everyone. Family "hostel" which felt more like a school camp, very little atmoshpere, very dissapointing.

Liked: the peacefulness of the location , the bushwalk , the most amazing beach , the sunrise by a cup of coffee and sunsets with a glas of wine . The birds of course and .the trees makes you a part of the nature. It was a very holistic holiday
