Liked: I really liked the atmosphere of the place, it was so friendly and homelike. Definitely on of the best hostels I've evere stayed at.
Disliked: Nothing, everything was great.

Liked: The proprietor was extremely flexible about our booking, enabling us to cancel to beds when expected family pulled out of the trip at the last minute. Of 7 nights accommodation, Chillawhile were the only ones to not request payment up front. I appreciated the opportunity to have our own kitchen area.
Disliked: The bedrooms were extremely poorly insulated from the communal areas. Despite asking fellow travellers to reduce the noise as the children were having difficulty sleeping, it persisted, so we just had to cope till beyond when even we went to bed 10:30-11. Poorly balanced music (heavy base) was pervasive throughout and one couldn't escape it.

Liked: Fantastically friendly atmosphere! A beautiful Victorian building in a similarly interesting historical town, Kelly and all the guys were great and a real help in explaining all Oamaru has to offer. The music is always playing in some form or another!

Liked: Kelly was an amazing host and the hostel was the cutest and chillest I've ever been in. The art gallery was sweet as and everything had a funky vibe to it.
