Liked: Fantastic hostel in an old biker pub- very quirky. The free internet and Laundry were great! Also facilities on offer brilliant- games console, pool table and massive telly plus free tea and coffee. The manager is so friendly and really helpful.

Disliked: The kitchen is quite small and so gets messy quickly.

Liked: Super friendly and helpfull staff!! They're the best! They had over 200 titles of movies to watch and large common rooms, really easy to make friends. Free tea and coffee, free wifi and internet, free laundry and we could also borrow bikes for free. The staff always did their best to help in every case. Friendliest place we've stayed in!

Disliked: The kitchen is small and a bit dirty...

Liked: Free tea and coffee, free internet, lovely owner who even drove me to the shop when I first arrived, good deal on beer, excellent communal areas, excellent info on Abel Tasman and other local stuff, absolutely brilliant place to stay, long term or short term - this place has lots of character and is right by the sea and lush fish and chips. Loved it. Marcus is the best!

Liked: Lovely house with a friendly athmosphere. Because there've been so many people around, at the time we've been there it was a bit dirty and smelly in the kitchen...

Liked: Fantastic quality of service - free internet, free laundry, free pick up and drop off from the bus station and good kitchen facilities. Really great knowledge of the area and even lent us camping equipment for our 3 day trip to Abel Tasman. Great location within Nelson and a good place to base yourself if you want to visit the Abel Tasman National Park.

Liked: Very warm atmosphere, very friendly stuff, nice rooms, bath & dining rooms also great. Also they do have a Snooker Table and Xbox as well as a 60' TV! I am impressed. Sadly they were booked out for another night.

Disliked: Small kitchen, but that's not so bad because of the good atmosphere even between te people living there.

Liked: The hostel is great. The owners/managers are very friendly and helpful, with a thoughtful free pick up and drop off service for the bus station which is really helpful. Despite the location compared to other hostels, it is only a 10-15minute walk from town - (they offer free bikes too), and it's a pretty relaxing walk. Felt really at home as soon as I walked in, the atmosphere/decor is fantastic. Thanks for the stay!

Liked: This Hostel was fantastic. Great people there! really good facilities. the T.V is massive, lots of dvds. rooms are nice. glad to have stayed here!!

Liked: The building has its own character that I've never experienced in any other hostel. Some many things are offered for free here (yes, I said free) like pool (billiards, not the water kind), foosball, an XBox 360 with excellent games, a Super huge tv with literally over 200 DVDs to watch, Computers with internet access, and help booking activities and such. Yes, I'll repeat, ALL these things were free. Crazy. The location is a bit out of the way, but if a 15-minute walk from town doesn't daunt you, then this is totally your spot.

Disliked: Location is a bit dodgy. It's just so far from the city centre, and in a shipping yard, basically. Still, I guess that helps with the character of the place.

Liked: Free internet and good value dorm rooms. The building is really nice and the living room and bar area are really big and socialable.

Disliked: The kitchen was way to small and not clean for long. The showers were a bit rubbish - low water pressure and the water didn't get hot.

Liked: The owner and his son were incredibly friendly and helpful - we were offered lifts to the supermarket and the city centre. The internet was free and there were bikes you could use to cycle into town (for free too!)

Disliked: Nothing! It wasn't centrally located, but as I said, you get a free bike and it's actually only a 15 minute walk to everything which was nice given we'd been on a bus for so long!

Liked: A really beautiful hostel next to Nelson´s coastline which offers for free internet, coffee and tea, bikes, laundry. The owner Marcus and his son Taylor are always smiling and willing to help you about everything. Keep up the good job guys! Thanks for the lovely stay!

Disliked: The kitchen is quite small but as the owner says it is a good way to meet people ;-)

Liked: The staff and owner. The common areas. The bar was excellent and cheap for people staying at the hostel. The free tea and coffee. The free internet. The decor. Staying at this hostel was like staying with a friend. Without a doubt the best hostel I have stayed at in New Zealand.
