Liked: loads of cool facilities like swimming pool, spa pool and sauna and volley ball court!

Liked: Swimming pool, BBQ, sauna and jacuzi were all massive positives!

Disliked: Bit of a party hostel, and long termers are quite clockeiy groups.... had loads of school kids staying there for a tournament and they made it feel like a holiday park, also no attempts to make them keep the noise down after 1am....

Liked: The hostel stands out through its facilities, especially the pool, the spa and the sauna, which prove to be really great points to meet people and create a very nice atmosphere. In addition, the rooms were very clean.

Disliked: The hostel is a little far away from the major arrival points in nelson, such as the i-site of the intercity bus station (however, the hostel offers a free shuttle service to the intercity station). restaurants and supermarkets are a little far by foot from the hostel.

Liked: Free stuff: 90 minutes of free internet, free breakfast, free soup (you'll have to be fast however, otherwise it's all gone!). They have a spa, a pool, AND a sauna. Haven't seen a place like this for the money.

Disliked: Maybe a bit too many people to my liking. But this could be a good thing as well if you like crowded places...

Liked: Very social atmosphere - the old bus in the garden makes for a great drinking den - no need to leave the property for a fun night!

Disliked: The bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens were crawling with ants. And I mean crawling.

Liked: The kitchens are large, the communal areas are extensive and the pool and spa are a real bonus. It's also fantastic to have some free wi fi! The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a fun atmosphere about the place.

Disliked: The kitchens were not very clean, although I think this was more the fault if the guests than the staff.

Liked: There was free breakfast (various cereals, bread, milk, coffee and tea) and supposedly free soup in the evening but I didn't get to try it. The common kitchen was open at all hours although the nicer one closes at about 10.30pm. The room we stayed in was ensuite which helped cos the place was crowded. There was an excellent fish and chips shop around the corner.

Disliked: The place was really overcrowded with people. It has a party atmosphere and was very noisy though it toned down after 10 pm or so. Seems to be a great place to meet other people. If you don't get down early the breakfast and soup would be gone. We never got to access the free internet cos it was switched off early and was also spotty at best. It was quite a distance into town for those on foot but pick-ups and drop-offs with tour companies could be pre-arranged.

Liked: The pool and the free wifi. The soup and breakfast were also a plus. On the downside not very clean bathrooms/kitchen area. The hostel is very lively especially on the weekend which was fun but not the best nights sleep if you want a rest, although it's very relaxing by the pool in the day!

Liked: all been a nice surprise, quite location, near by the city centre, swining pool, free wifi, and breakfast, ....just very good for relaxing before or after a big trip...honestly one of the best backpaker so fare!!!hope there is more like this one!!!

Liked: Kostenloses wifi Internet den ganzen Tag. Frühstück von 6-9h spartanisch aber vollkommen ausreichend und gut. Super Pool und Spa, fast wie im Hotel.

Liked: quirky place with a very nice pool. lots of ladders and awkward spaces which would really not suit anyone with a disability. breakfast was good but the place was very noisy until well into the early hours (4am) and the bathrooms were very dirty. good palce to meet people but not if you want a decent nights sleep. oh and it REALLY needs new pillows - they are the thinnist things in the world!
