Paradiso Backpackers is located in a beautiful, newly renovated historic manor just 650m to the city centre, restaurants and nightlife. All buses drop off and pick up right outside.
There are doubles, twins, teepees, dorms and new luxury en-suite 4-share/double garden rooms available, plus tent sites. Beds start at just $19 and include free breakfast in the morning and free vegetable soup in the evening. The perfect winter warmer. Cook in the spacious, well equipped kitchen with free herbs, tea & coffee and relax in one of two lounges with Sky TV, DVD and video.
Energetic types show off their skills on the full size beach volleyball court while the more relaxed can watch from the comfort of a hammock. Mountain bikes are available for hire for those who want to explore the city and its surrounds.
There’s a free pool table and lots of games to while away the hours on those rainy days (though you won’t get many of those in Nelson!) and 24 hour fast internet access (cheapest in town!)
We are ideally located for exploring the Abel Tasman national park, with its scenic coastal track, sandy beaches and excellent kayaking and we often get special deals on bus/boat transport and kayak hire.
