Liked: Really nice hostel with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Didn't spend that much time there, but seemed to live up to what they said about themselves.

Disliked: My room smelled like old sweat and was full of flies. Too bad, because over all a good hostel.

Liked: This is definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. It's so cozy, makes you feel right at home. Also, everything is spotless!! And the FREE chocolate pudding is delicious... mm, mm, good!! I'll be coming back!

Liked: Everything. It was very very clean, you had nice spacey rooms with one readinglight for every bed. opportunities to put clothes everywhere, the free chocolate pudding every evening and the very helpfull and always friendly stuff

Liked: Staff was amazing! Very helpful and caring. The kitchen is great and the large community room was a really nice area to meet other guests. The pudding is just a bonus!

Liked: This is a really cool hostel. Probably our favourite in NZ so far. It has good facilities and has a homely feel to it. The free internet is great and a lovely fire too to keep everybody warm. The owner/manager was very helpful and seemed an all round nice guy. Definitely recommend Tasman Bay Backpackers.

Liked: Really clean and homely hostel with excellent kitchens. Good added bonuses like yummy chocolate pudding, hot water bottles , free breakfast etc. Only 5-10 min walk to city centre and close to parks, good walks etc.

Liked: Very nice place. The most helpful and friendly staff I encountered on my trip in NZ. The free breakfast is great, and the chocolate pudding and ice cream even better. Nice to see a hostel go that extra mile to make their guests feel welcome. Free 100 MB of internet! Wow, all the other hostels I stayed at charged for every single byte.
