Friendly alpine backpacker accommodation based in the heart of National Park Village at the foot of the mountains in the Tongariro National Park.We have a spa pool.A large communal lounge with log fire pit to gather round is very popular. We have a large well equipped kitchen.

Our friendly staff can assist and advise you on booking our local activities including Tongariro alpine crossing transport, back country hut passes, canoeing, rafting, horse riding and mountain biking.

We can book your onwards travel with Intercity, Overlander and Interislander.

Accommodation Information

Ski Haus features 18 alpine themed rooms ranging from 8 bed dorm style rooms to double and family rooms with TV. All of our bathroom facilities are shared.

Choose from a fully catered set menu package featuring breakfast (from $6.50 pp), lunch (from $5.50 pp) and/or dinner (from $12.00 pp) or self cater in our well appointed communal kitchen.

With our large friendly informal lounge area you can enjoy a relaxing evening in front of the fire with friends and family or relax in our spa.

Other facilities include a drying room, luggage holding facility, internet, laundry facilities and powered van and tent sites (summer only). Our parking area is large and onsite.

The train station and bus stop is approximately a 10 minute walk away.
