 i already recommened this location to another backpacker! manny was exceptional in greeting and checking me in, orienting me to the facillities. the next morning the lady at the front desk, i think her name was carole (?) went out of her way to look up a local point of interest listed in the tour book, both managers made me feel very welcome and i can hardly wait for an opportunity to return!

staff were friendly and helpful with loads of information regarding napier area. The bathroom/toilets were clean, better than expected. would totally recommend it to my friends!

Its location and cosy feel was great. Other guests were quite unfriendly though. One woman asked if I could move out of her dorm room because there were enough people in it already, although there was plenty room and an spare bed. She might have been having a bad day, but even so . . . GM

This was a good hostel for the price, only comment is that they could do with more cups, mugs and glasses. There were hardly any available.

Location is good and free tea, coffee and milk a nice extra. It really felt like home and the rooms were nice and warm

Relaxing atmosphere, very quiet and small. Right across the road from the ocean, an easy walk to the 'main street' in Napier.

Right on the ocean, yet close to the city centre. A nice variety of ages among the guests.
