Liked: I love that the whole property has a bit of a country feel to it. Very clean and well maintained. Very well planned usage of spaces. I feel the people staying there is also a more mature crowd.

Liked: Views, location and atmosphere are great. We had a nice room and enjoyed free sauna and clean kitchen.

Disliked: Wireless internet didn't work in our room was the only thing bothering us.

Liked: Comfy beds, and wonderful common area with a wood (gas really) stove! Kitchen is huge. Really quiet and relaxing, felt like a ski lodge.

Liked: it looked nice from a distance

Disliked: total lack of sound proofing anywhere, wooden (thin) walls which created a hostel which sounds like it was completely open plan

Disliked: beds are super noisy, squeak like crazy every time someone rolls over. i'm a deep sleeper and woke up a few times from people rolling over.

Liked: One of the cleanest and nicest hostels i've stayed at. Very beautiful lodge-style place in the heart of the mountains. Be warned, however, there is no shop in Mt Cook village, however, reception does sell the essentials.

Liked: Overall atmosphere and facilities were great. Staff was very sweet. Would be nice to have a cheaper local bus stop by there instead of having to get the tour buses.

Liked: Nice to have a sauna, even though you aren't allowed to throw water on the stove which is a bit confusing... Very warm rooms, very clean and nice place. There's no store in the village so you should do your groceries before heading to mt cook.
