Overview
Palm House situated in small coastal fishing village. Enjoy true New Zealand’s rugged west coast beach of miles of black sand and bays.
Feel the sea breeze, whilst walking this secluded west coast beach of natural black sand and bays. Swim, surf, collect seashells, catch a fish, gather mussels, glimpse the darkness of natural coastal caves and tranquil islands, and kayak the mighty Mokau River. Wander the Whitecliffs Walkway, leaving your footsteps in untouched sands; relax aboard a historic cream-boat cruise.
Explore the local Tanui Museum. Taste our local fish delicacy "Whitebait ".
Then at the end of the day as the sun sets over the Tasman sea enjoy a barbecue with friends and curl up in our cozy lodge in the peaceful seaside village of Mokau.
