Liked: Greymouth itself doesn`t have a lot to offer, but is a perfect base to discover the fantastic landscapes it has around. Thanks to the staff, wich suggested me what to visit, I spent one of my best days in New Zealand. The Hostel is very big, cleaned and safe. The manager is very friendly. If you`re looking for a base to visit the West Coast, this is the right place.

Liked: I was able to meet the owner of the hostel and his family, they are wonderful people, and put a lot of work and energy in their hostel (the place just got renovated!). It's definitely THE place to stay in Greymouth. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the service excellent (free coffee & tea, DVD service, video room...) I loved it!

Liked: check in was a little slow........but the hosts took you on a tour and showed you where everything was. Lots of free stuff. Staff remembered your name, which was v. nice.

Liked: The guy who ran the place was great. I have never been given a welcoming tour of the hostel before, but here I got one. Both the internet and kitchen faciltities were also good.

Liked: The staff were VERY welcoming. They made you feel like part of their family. You felt like you couldn't say no to a drink at the bar. I especially enjoyed watching and joining in their Hanukkah celebrations on Boxing Day - very moving!
