Liked: It was quiet and had two tv rooms so watched some sports. Bit dated in decor but really isn't a big issue. Just wanted somewhere to sleep and i got that

Liked: Great place to stay with an intruiging and well sign-posted mix of 'rabbit warren' corridors leading to dorm rooms, bathrooms, tv rooms, balconies and a roof top garden! While we only stayed on night left with memories of a well run place with good cooking facilities and extensive DVD collection ($20 refundable deposit). Certainly a must see for those who like a point of difference in their accomodation. Another excellent use of a former institution (hospital) for comfy and innovative backpacker accomodation. Very helpful reception staff, too. Would recommend.

Liked: It has a lot of character, as it is like a rambling, rustic B and B. The rooms are large and the communal areas are comfy. It is a charming place and has a good selection of DVDs. The staff are very helpful and friendly and it is very clean as always for YHAs. Would definitely recommend.

Liked: Good location, great staff. Everything you need both for tours and food. Not far from Dunedin centre. Was slightly expensive considering that pubs in the area offer a similar accom. (single room) but incl. ensuite, tv etc at the same price. Other than that, can't fault it.

Liked: The staff are incredible. Especially Suzanne. She was beyond helpful with booking travel and accomodation. A true asset to the hostel. The building itself (formerly a hospital) has been gorgeously transformed into a homely and more than comfortable resting place for travellers. The facilities were exceptional...full kitchen and cooking equipment, excellent bathrooms, great showers and plenty of space to find a quiet spot to relax in. Good location, only a ten minute walk from town.
