Liked: Hot tub and pool! The staff were very helpful in getting us where we needed to go and answering our questions. the kitchen was very well kept up and the rooms and restrooms were very clean.

Liked: Lovely cabin-style lay out. The area reserved for backpackers had a kitchen and lounge area that was nice but could've been bigger for the amount of people in the dorms. Bikes were available to hire, which was a nice touch.

Disliked: Backpackers have to pay extra if you want sheets/bedding. Although we were well catered for, there are many other cabins for private guests and it always feels like they are put first. Plus, backpackers aren't allowed to use the hot tub/spa pool after a certain time... discrimination!

Liked: Weird atmosphere and staff. 5 minutes walk from town and there is not much in Coramandel town. Would not recommend.

Liked: Bit out of town, hostel was joint run with a motel. Beds were pretty solid and comfortable, but they charge an extra $2 for blankets. Pretty average hostel nothing special.

Liked: The kitchen, where you dont have to bring your own pots and pans and dishes, etc. The spa and the pool. The banana trees, the setting up, the new infra-structure.

Liked: Very quiet and clean, and excellent value for money. Might not be as nice if it was busy and full because the kitchen is quite small. No heating in rooms, just wood stove for whole area - OK, but not if it was very cold.
