Liked: A great place to stay, a real home away from home. Free fresh bread in the morning is a bonus. We loved this place so much we cancelled our other Christchurch accomodation for our last night in New Zealand. Good stuff!

Liked: A really wonderful hostel....so much love and thought has gone into every aspect of it. I would definatly come back! the only disadvantage was it is a bit out of town

Liked: excellent value for money; large twin room, with full size ensuite for $34/night. Communal phone provided with free local calls (never been anywhere else that provided this). Good lounge and kitchen areas. Very clean. Free homemade bread was put out first thing in the morning while I was there - nice touch. Only things I could fault: they don't provide soap, the lock on our room was defective (door could still be opened, though door was locked).

Liked: I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the beautiful gardens and just the general setup that encouraged interacting with other travellers - it was an easy place to unwind and relax and yet not far from the city hub.
