Earthquake update:
KIWI basecamp survived the Feb 22 earthquake without any major damage. Most importantly, all our guests survived unharmed. As from 07/03/2011 we are fully operational and are looking forward welcoming our new guests

Our free shuttle service guarantees that you won’t spend a cent to get to us and in addition we have a shuttle service available to get around Christchurch. Start your day with our free breakfast and our world famous home made bread.

Accommodation Information

Our hostel has 1 6 bed dorm room, 4 4 bed share rooms as well as single, double and triple rooms. We also have 2 cheaper, smaller single rooms available. All beds are ready made with fresh towels. All rooms are heated in winter and all prices are inclusive breakfast with fresh, home made bread in the morning. Included in the price is also tea, coffee and milo.

Enjoy our newly renovated bathrooms and toilets as well as renovated, good equipped kitchens, our new outside deck with Barbeque or SKY TV / DVD lounge. Disabled bathroom available on ground floor.

We also have a free courtesy car available for airport, train and bus pick ups as well as a supermarket shuttle on request.

We can also arrange tours to the Christchurch Backcountry on request.

Hagley Park, some really good take away places, incredibly good restaurants and only a 10 min walk to Cathedral Square, the city centre.
