Liked: It's a great place to chill out and relax - really quiet and peaceful. Graeme is unbelievably helpful and drove me into town to catch the bus for my onward journey.It is a little run-down, however, and could possibly do with some TLC and updating, but on the whole, it's a nice place.

Liked: Not the cleanist or best looked after place I've been to by a long way. Needs some refurbsihment done to it. Owners seemed nice and enough and when asked offered help. TV room was okay, a few DVD's but ,mostly all videos which are old and some didnt work. Nice people there and aout 15 mins walk to the city centre.

Liked: This really is a tranquil lodge! It had a really homely feel about it and the owner is lovely! He left my key for me when I arrived and gave me a lift the next morning.

Liked: Owner was VERY helpful, nice guy who made us fell very welcome and as guests more than paying customers. Upgraded our room for free simply because he wanted to :)

Liked: Double rooms are comfortable and spacious- excellent value for money, comfy, homely TV room, fantastic owner who is very helpful. A bit old school, but perfect for a relaxed stay in christchurch.

Liked: the manager is extremely helpful. Its a nice place to stay & sleep.Quiet. Rooms are a little small & it is bit far from city (about a 10-15min walk) though. Nevertheless a good place to stay.

Liked: Graham (or is it Graeme?) and his partner are two wonderfully helpful hosts, and made us feel extremely welcome. Free washing facilities is a great bonus too, and the TV lounge is super relaxing and cosy. Furthermore, it's only a 12/15 minute stroll right into the centre of town. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone.

Liked: I like everything about it..the hospitality, the location, the room, the atmosphere, cleaniness, facilities and great for budget travellers. To top it all up, the owner was really helpful, kind and made our stay very enjoyable
