Quiet after 10pm in Bunk Quarters. Clean kitchen and utensils. Cleanest, crispest, bedlinen and comfort. Very gracious staff :-)

EVERYTHING! It was soooooooo clean, wicked atmosphere, respectful people, safe, extremely helpful staff, had a kitchen, work-out area, bikes for rent, internet access (both wireless and for hire), movies, books, pool table...it was great!!!!!!

The nice jail house feel gives it a very relaxed and vibrant atmosphere at the same time. Their beds are very comfortable and their wifi rate is the one of the cheapest in south island. They also maintain a high standard of cleanliness all over the place! Jailhouse rocks! Their front office staff provides excellent service...always willing to assists the guests anytime. Thanks for a great stay!

This is a really cool hostel. One of the best ones we stayed in in New Zealand. The only dissadvantage is the 15mins wallk into town but I would definutly recommend this hostel despite this.

The huge home theater is fabulous! The hostel is very minimalistic chic, I loved the atmosphere! It is a bit far from the centre of town though...

The rooms were quiet, good beds, staff extremely friendly and helpful, CLEAN - cleanest hostel I have ever seen, kitchen was first rate, novelty of staying in an old jail is very cool.
