Liked: Bathroom very clean. Kitchen too small for number of people and not clean. Room clean but smelt damp. If the hippy thing is your scene you might like it but otherwise think about staying somewhere else.

Liked: the owners were really nice but the hostel is very shabby, bathrooms are ok, clean, never any hot water when i was there, bedroom was clean but smelt very musty and bed was really uncomfortable and not a double bed, just a bit bigger than a single.

Liked: It's a very friendly backpacker, you just fell like an host in a family... they can pick you up everywhere. When we arrive, they pick us in the airport and show us the cool things in the city ! Very nice and free guided tour. The beds are confortable, and the backpacker is pretty quite. It's not too far to the city (there is a bus, or you can walk 15 minutes).

Liked: Hippy style, definitely not super fancy, but has a very good atmosphere - if you like it. Super friendly people, great place to make new friends.

Liked: irinka was so amazing. she picked us up from the airport at 12:30 am and then took us on a scenic tour of Christchurch, not to mention the fact that she was there at 7am to take us to the bus station!!great friendly run hostel

Liked: Irinka and Mike are great people and were really welcoming and made you feel like you were visiting distant relatives. they gave us lifts places and even made us a cake :)
