Liked: This is a fabulous place to stay. Utterly idyllic setting wit in orange orchards, with dogs, chickens, a couple of pigs and a sheep! Room is cosy and comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. Inside is cosy and there's lots of decking to sit out on on a summers day. All in all, is a very nice place to relax and is well positioned. The hosts are also really nice and helpful. We would have liked to have spent more time just hanging out there.
Disliked: My only point would be to be aware that the doors don't lock. It's ok as it's remote, safe and there's always someone around, but just to bare in mind so you don't get a nasty surprise.

Liked: The farm hostel is in a picturesque area, just outside of Kerikeri and perfect for a stay. Besides unlimited free WiFi internet access the farm hostel is kept very clean and features the most comfy beds I slept in during my trip to NZ. The atmosphere was quite cozy and social and particularly brilliant during the rainy days at the Bay of Islands, thus, a perfect environment for a nice chat with the really friendly and helpful operators and other guests. Free apples from the orchard and bakery products from one of the guests contributed to making it perfect stay in spite of the disappointing weather. Thanks again to all of the operators and guests for the brilliant stay!
Disliked: The distance to the town of Kerikeri could become a problem for those who require close proximity at all times but usually there are opportunities to commute with one of the guests or the operators between the hostel and the town. Hence, there is really no cons and it was overall possibly the best accommodation during my traveling in NZ and I have no doubts to return there again in the case that I will travel in the area some time in the future.

Liked: Lovely stuff a beautiful little puppy. Very homely and tranquill
Disliked: we stayed in the cabin and there was a bees nest outside the bedroom window which you could hear throughout the night. A light to lead you back to the cabin at night would be great but a torch would be fine. The cooker in the cabin was very unsafe. My boyfriend took off all the hairs on his arms and scolded his hands! Other than that fantastic place!!

Liked: A beautiful, relaxing to stay in a lovely location. I was greeted by a mini pot-bellied pig when I arrived and treated to free organic oranges from the orchard outside. The place is spotlessly clean, friendly and cosy and welcoming. There's even a dishwasher so you don't even have to wash up after cooking dinner. Homely and full of character, I'd highly recommend it.
Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Really friendly manager, building is lovely, very clean and very different from your average hostel, really nice to chill out.
Disliked: Only appeared to be one shower to share between about 10, quite far from town, the private rooms were not fitted with locks.

Liked: This hostel was gorgeous. The couple who run it are friendly and welcoming, taking you into their home, and telling you about the farm and their mini-pigs. It was like staying in a cottage B & B. The room was lovely and warm, the bed comfy. the bathroom was large and clean. They have a wood fire to curl up in front of and we all had dinner together. They have the best eggs I've tasted in a long time from their free range hens. The place was just brilliant.
Disliked: You do need a car to reach the farm as it is out of town, but there is ample parking there and it is on the main road, easy to find.
