About Silverfern Backpackers

Silverfern Backpackers is a new and friendly hostel with excellent facilities including three lounges - one specially designed for movies and sports with Sky TV. We have very spacious lounges to relax in with Wi-Fi being available throughout the property. Weekly guests receive 1GB of Free Wi-Fi more than any other hostel in Auckland. A modern kitchen with ovens, microwaves and cutlery and cooking utensils is available for our guests to use. A spacious and highly comfortable dining area is also attached to the kitchen.
Laundry both washing machines and dryers are available for guests to use.

Clean and Modern bathrooms have been designed to be spacious with 24 Hour hot showers.
Car parking and bus parking facilities are available on site.
Trips and tours along with campervan rentals and car rentals can be booked at reception.
If you fancy hitch hiking then we are located on the main road exit leaving Auckland for the South, you can stand outside our hostel for a quick pick up.

Photographic ID is required for all guests at check in. Credit card booker must be present at check in. $50 key deposit is required.

A minimum of 2 nights is required in all private rooms or a $10 surcharge applies.

Maximum of 3 nights stay in 12 bed dorm then you have to upgrade to 8 bed dorm.

You have to be less than 45 years of age to stay in a dorm or you have to pay for a private room.

Please note reception closes at 10:30pm so you must arrive before then.

Silverfern Backpackers is located on Hobson Street next to 2 large Asian style super markets. We are a 2 minute walk away from Sky Tower and the intertcity bus terminal.
Our amazing postion means that all Auckland's attractions are easily assessible, from Auckland Museum änd Parnell to Victoria Market and Kelly Talton's shark world.

Queen Street is only a 2 minute walk away with its great shopping areas and if you like trendy cafes then K-Road is the place for you, with its off beat nightclubs and food courts.
