Liked: the lady who runs this hostel is so helpful and really lovely. she would go out of her way to help you and even gave me a lift to the bus station. the staff who work here are really friendly too.

Liked: Close enough to walk to the city or the nearby cafe district. Easy to catch a bus etc. The kitchen is well equiped to cook dinner.

Liked: Because of the staff (they were realy helpful and they cared) and that they offerd free internet and free local calls.Clean kitchen, rooms and the shared areas were clean.

Liked: The lady who owns the place is really, really lovely. Very helpful and chartty, with that, the garden, the carpetsand not wearing your shoes indoors it it like being at home again.The free wifi was great and the breakfast was good value too. My only comment is that the whole place coudl do with a good lick of paint.

Liked: Very nice. More of a place to chill than a party hostel and doesn't have a TV but the free internet more than makes up for it.

Liked: One of the nicest dorm rooms I've stayed in having been in hostels all over New Zealand over the previous months. Spacious and clean, and no bunk beds. Free internet was a big perk for me. Unisex bathrooms were kept very clean. No shoes allowed inside, but this added to cleanliness and homely feel. This is a quiet and peaceful place to stay, definitely not what you want if you're looking for a party. Staff, especially Seema the owner, were extremely friendly and helpful. Convenient to cafe' district of Ponsonby (great area!) and only a short walk to New World (my favourite full service supermarket). You can get to Queen Street in about 10-15 minutes walking, or there's a bus stop just outside. Really enjoyed my stay and would return.

Liked: Seema was a great host. This hostel is more like a very nice hotel than a hostel. Free wifi. No bunk beds! Great mattresses. Lots of room. Nice people. It's just a really great place to stay. Simple as that.
