Liked: check out is way too early and they charge you to astore your luggage on checkout, this was rather annoying as my bus departing auckland was not until 1pm, and i had to pay 4$ to store my luggage even though i just payed 80$ for three nights!!!also the window in the dorm do not open, the heat was horrendous, you couldnt breathe or cool yourself, i woke several times each night thinking i was suffocating,,,, and this was winter time!! i dread to think what its like in the summer months!!!

Liked: The kitchen was clean and plenty of stuff to use. This is a popular place for people either starting or ending a tour, so if on your own can be difficult to meet others

Liked: I really liked the cleaning and the location. I could go shopping walking cause all stores was near at the base auckland.

Liked: The location was definitely the best point. There was also a huge common room and kitchen (although serious lack of saucepans and some of the hobs didn't work). The room was a bit worn and basic. My shower was cold and there was no curtain. Stayed in worse hostels though.

Liked: I was distressed to find it next to a night club which stayed open until i left at 3.00 am to catch a plane. I didn't get any sleep at all.

Liked: Base just do hostels very well - loads of stuff there, great location, nice staff, all works really!
