Liked: Just the friendliest staff you can imagine!! Great location in the city center close to everything you need, when you first arrive in Auckland! The kitchen facility is really good equiped and clean! Internet is free and there is a rooftop where you can see people doing the sky jump from the tower.

Disliked: Some plants would make the rooftop a really great hang out...

Liked: Nice single room with minifridge, massive window! Very helpful staff.

Disliked: Free Internet doesn't include wifi and is so appallingly slow you're better off heading to the nearby cafe. The shower was dicey... Don't look up or you may wonder if you're about to plummet through the floor.

Liked: It was cleaner than the reviews said it would be! The location is handy and a sociable living room. it looks better inside than it did outside. large rooms - not as claustrophic as a lot of hostels...

Disliked: the girls bathroom had only one shower on the entire floor - spent ages waiting. there were no lockers in the room for your valuables. the staff were rude. there were hobos sitting at the front entrance. you could put the door on the snip so you didnt need a key - this meant that the room was nearly always left unlocked. we came back and found an opportunist in someone elses bed because they were out... would only stay again if I couldnt find anything elsewhere....

Liked: Cheapest place I've found in Auckland without having to stay in a 10+ bed dorm.

Disliked: Somewhat cold, I don't think there was heat in the rooms but the duvets were good.

Liked: good atmosphere, nightly activities

Disliked: ladies bathrooms on our floor were being worked on when we were there, long trip downstairs in the cold! this was a temporary issue though.

Liked: very central location, friendly staff

Disliked: no parking facilities, in case you come with a car forget it, because parking fees are almost as high as a one night stay - and you need to parks your car in a carpark in order to avoid theft.

Liked: Just another hostel. Nothing spectacular really stands out.

Disliked: Crowded, and messy rooms. No free wifi (Free internet is misleading). Showers suck ass.

Liked: The location is good and free internet was great, but I could never use the computer because there are just too many people staying there.

Disliked: The bathrooms are the dirtiest I've ever seen, the bed was terrible/lumpy/unclean, there were like 5,000 steps to walk to get to the room, it was SOOO hot because the windows don't open up the entire way, and it was EXTREMELY noisy and bright in the room at night due to construction outside and lights for the construction. Terrible stay at a terrible place.

Liked: Very good location, free internet and a lovely common room. All for a very good price.

Disliked: The showers were very unclean and there was no lockers in the large dorms.

Liked: Excellent location and very good value for money if on budget and need to stay for short time

Disliked: Could have been cleaner a bit ... And no free wireless - although that seems to be the NZ standard (and wireless was available for a fee)

Liked: good location.

Disliked: Our room was very dirty. There were ants crawling on the floor and the bed. Also found them in the bathroom. Didn't use the kitchen to find out if they were in there also. It appeared they didn't change the fitted sheet on the bed, and it had hair on it. And all we were given was a comforter that appeared as though it never got cleaned, not sheet to use below it. They supplied a mini fridge in our room but it wasn't operable because it didn't shut and seal. Hot and stuffy room, there was a small open window but it didn't allow for ventilation. the bathroom on our floor was full of mold. mold covered the entire ceiling and you could smell it.

Liked: Helpful staff, and good location.

Disliked: Maybe a bit too much partying, the staff always joining - which is fun - but you get a little bit of a unserious feeling about the whole place.
