Customer reviewThe location. The hostel was filthy especially the kitchen. Saucepans had no handles. The kitchen was badly equiped and noone cleaned up after themselves. Not enough places to sit and eat. Some Reception staff had no local knowledge which was extremely annoying. Would not stay here again. |

Customer reviewGreat hostel, right in centre of Auckland. Very clean & staff extremely helpful & friendly. Only criticism would be the very thin walls, but I would definitely recommend it as a cheap place to stay. |

Sophie QuayeI love the decor its really nice and because its quite new everything is fresh and clean. There is a team of people who live and work here and they clean the hostel around 3-5 times a day. The bedrooms are a little small but i was in room 207 which faces the smoking courtyard a dorm for 8 so that could have been the reason but it didn't feel stuffy.There kitchen is medium size but really open facing a dining room and the computers but there are 2 sets of rings to cook on so there is always enough space.There are 2 big fridges to put your stuff in and a row of boxes along the wall for things that don't need the fridge.There is a lounge area with a tv which is nice but sometimes gets hard to talk to people because they are watching telly. The location is amazing right off the middle of Queen street right in the center of the CBD just a 2 minute walk from the airport express bus stop and right near Albert park which is nice.oh and the best thing is that internet is free!!!!!!! |

Thu-Quyen NguyenThe hostel just opened a couple of weeks before and everything was nice and clean. The decor and the furnishings were really nice (little things make a difference!!), full kitchen was good and the rooms were quite big! Rooftop with picnic tables were good, I think they are planning on revamping it and making it into a nice terrasse/garden! Only thing I would think of adding: security lockers in room itself(...and maybe fixing the lift). The general mgr, Richard, was great. He definitely made my stay there more comfortable (even took my suitcase up for me! thanks!) I would definitely come back and stay again! |
