Liked: Convenient for meeting up with a family member

Disliked: Many drunken travellers every night with a number of Kiwis staying who were not travellers but working in Aukland. A member of staff tried to steal something that I had left in the kitchen and they had taken something out of one of the pockets. Thefts were occuring in the kitchen which was not closed at night. Much disturbance from drunken residents returning any time from midnight ot 6.00am Much noise from the bar on the premises. I will never stay in a Nomads hostel or related hostel again.

Liked: The location is ideal for trekking around the city. The price was outstanding and the staff were really helpful. Big thumbs up to the receptionist from Halifax!!!

Disliked: The kitchen and fridge space isn't big enough for the amount of people who stay there.

Liked: Staff was friendly and the sundeck was nice.

Disliked: Beds in the rooms were squeaking and it bothered everybody especially during the nights. My expensive camera also got stolen as also some money of our roommate's.

Liked: Brilliant location, decent facilities and a good atmosphere with the Fort Union bar.

Disliked: Lot of going up and down stairs/lift. Outside can be a tad noisy at night and beds were fairly creaky too

Liked: Great staff and facilities.

Disliked: A bit too much of a party atmosphere for me. Very busy, but I would recommend it to those who are looking for that sort of livliness.

Liked: For us nothing but it may be good for a solo traveller to meet people.

Disliked: The bed was uncomfortable and the bar outside was extremly noisey until very late.

Liked: nice clean kitchen on the rooftop. bar next door was good

Disliked: our bedroom totally stank and it was really stuffy. also the internet is too expensive but go to the bar next door and you can get free wifi.

Disliked: This place always has smell. Since it has a bar attached to it, it can be very noisy at night time.

Liked: nice atmosphere, overall cleanpp

Disliked: security is a joke, 5 people got robbed on christmas, thief came in with a keycard, security cameras everywhere but only manager could acces them and he was not on duty until 3 days later ... a lot of backpackers working here for accomodation, all of them have a masterkey and can go everywhere anytime also a lot of drug usage and at last, you can hear the night club until 5 in the morning in your room, so dont forget your earplugs

Liked: There was a monkey in my room that talked to me. I couldn't speak the language of the monkey but it was telling me to set the hostel on fire and dancing around to Bon Jovi music from it's little monkey tape player. He kept me company when I felt sad but I refused to set the place on fire.

Disliked: When I told staff about the monkey they looked at me like I was on drugs, and everyone else in the room pretended they couldn't see him. The kitchen has a swimming pool inside it so people keep splashing me when I try to cook my sausages for my monkey.

Liked: Fantastic location

Disliked: dirty cutlery,plates and pans had been put away with the clean stuff. Bar/club on the same road has ridiculously loud music until early hours of the morning.

Liked: People enjoy eating and meeting at the roof. Offers a nice view. Rooms have lockers.

Disliked: If you need to sleep and do not want to party during your stay, I wont recommend the Nomads Hostel. The Internet is just working on the first level - even when you are buying a wifi-card for a day (8 Dollar). Btw wifi is not working very well.
