Liked: its okay...just a normal nomads so nothing special

Disliked: the staff sometimes is a bit unfriendly and if you don't book online they try to sell you more expensive dorms even though the cheaper ones are available

Liked: clean showers, comfortable beds, good location

Disliked: no space for food storage - too small for number of people. only one lift to service 7 floors with so many people coming and going all the time. cramped dorms. smaller rooms nicer.

Liked: The roof top area where you can easily meet new people. The staff are just amazing and I def want to go back there when I return to Auckland. They made you feel very welcome and helped me when I was in a bit of trouble with no where to stay at 2am.

Disliked: The other travelers not cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen. The staff cleaned it about 3 or 4 times a day, which I think is unfair on them !!!!!

Liked: The location is good if you want to stay at the city centre and the hostel is great if you're up for partying all night long.

Disliked: The kitchen was not suitable for cooking - lots of dirty dishes all day round, the kitchen was really small for such a large hostel and there were birds inside the kitchen all the time, which is not quite sanitary. The dormitories were packed full of beds and there was virtually no space to move around. If you're not up for partying all night long (and have a flu, for example) the noise is atrocious. People drinking in the bathrooms and the kitchen area, rumbling into their beds late at night, etc. Also, if staff doesn't interfere with people drinking in the communal areas/rooms, why are there tens of signs forbidding drinking in them?

Liked: it´s very central and vivid. you got the fort street union club as a neighbour ;)

Disliked: because of the rugby world cup it was very crowded and for that reason not possible to clean up everything on time. you can have a musical night, even if you don´t go to the pub next door, because the club has an open roof.. no breakfast, no free WIFI

Liked: If the weather is good, the terrace on the roof is a really nice place to eat your breakfast or lunch. The kitchen is on the same floor!

Disliked: The kitchen misses a couple of pans. It has only one left now(for everyone in the hostel).

Liked: great location for central auckland, nice and clean, helpful staff, cheap(during the week)

Disliked: the wifi only works in the lounge (sometimes just cuts out all together), and its a small enough room as it is already, keycards stop working randomly

Liked: A good accomodation if you only want a bed in a central location and nothing more..

Disliked: Bad bathrooms, broken beds, unfriendly staff, only one lift..

Liked: Easy to get to - right in the centre of town. Right next to a good pub which is good as well. Beds were comfortable enough.

Disliked: Was very busy when I went, weren't really enough staff at the front to help you with general enquiries.

Liked: Nice view from the rooftop where the kitchen is located.

Disliked: The dorms didn't have too good air ventilation, so it wasn't clean air when we woke up. If it rains, the kitchen might be very small because over half of all the tables are placed outside.

Liked: Good location, housekeeper boy was nice. Good elevator.

Disliked: Rooms quite small for 12 people, same lockers were broken. Kitchen is on the roof top and dors are open, so birds were flying and walking in the kitchen were people eat and cook. Fridges were too small and only one frying pan, which was awful. No mugs until the last day. No information about daily activities, if there were some organised. At least I couldn't find.

Liked: I liked the showers, they were clean, powerful and hot. The kitchen was great as it was big.

Disliked: We weren't allowed to check in until 1pm even though they had spare beds (and actually it was after 1pm when we could get there) the staff weren't as helpful as they could have been.

Disliked: not the best kitchen and the dorms were very cramped and the beds were very squeaky, not great.

Liked: Location is excellent

Disliked: My food being stolen, staff getting mixed up with dates so they locked me out of my room even when I had another night to stay, annoying! And then they didn't have the decency to apologize.

Liked: The SPA, the clean and great rooms, the services provided and the nice staff!!! Highly recommended.

Liked: Location.

Disliked: Cramped rooms. Definitley dont stay in the 10 man dorm its just not worth it. Expensive internet but the same can be said about most places in New Zealand.

Liked: Good having the Bar downstairs

Disliked: No hot water for 3 days, staff told us the council tunred it off but after we complained water would come on for 1-2 mins. Staff were pretty cool, Irish girl working on the desk in the Internet room had a bad attitude, probably thought to highly of herself..

Liked: Very good location, totally central, cool terasse on 7th floor for dining

Disliked: Small rooms, high prices, many rooms and many guest => not very intimate

Liked: Views from the kitchen were amazing, staff were helpful and dorm rooms were big enough. The bar was lots of fun too! I stayed at Fat Camel too but liked this one better.

Disliked: The only problems I had were out of the hostels control: there were kids staying on a field trip I guess, and they were running around all night really noisy, but then again I did see the guy from reception and he said he'd tell them to shut up.

Liked: I paid $20 a night so it was good value during the world cup and Location was excellent.

Disliked: Over all the layout of the hostel is terrible, tv room next to the bar so you cant hear the movie playing, tiny kitchen and a girls only floor which was half full of guys? not the worst hostel but im sure there is better out there if you look around.

Liked: The location was so central, it really saved on transport costs! The staff were really helpful & gave advise on places to go. We were given vouchers for local pubs & restaurants giving us discounts and the facilities were really clean.

Disliked: Nothing!
