Liked: Really big kitchen with loads of pots, pans and plates. Bit further out of the main city area than most other hostels though.

Liked: Everything is great about it, except that there is no safe for valuables. There are lockers but you have pay for them every 12 hours...boo.

Liked: Enormous kitchen and dining room, plus decent TV room. Lots of common areas. The place did feel a little stale, but it was New Zealand in Winter.

Liked: It was more like a hotel than a hostel, just coming from oz where most YHA were really bad state this YHA is the best hostel I have stay in for rooms, and kitchen and the staff.

Liked: nice bright kitchen/dinning area. Just on edge of CBD. And I could managed to pick up another free wireless network on my laptop from there!

Liked: The kitchen was the biggest, best equipped and cleanest I have seen in 5 months of travelling. The dining room and lounge were spacious and people talked to each other creating a good atmosphere but this is not a party place.

Liked: Expensive and on top of a hill! Room was standard- lights/bed. Tried to charge me for use of a locker to store my luggage for 3 hours! ($2NZ). Considering its a YHA its not value for money...and I got sucked into buying their membership card :(

Liked: The electrical outlets did not work in my room and several did not work in other places in the hostel. I wanted to use my laptop and charge my ipod.

Liked: It was very clean, as always and no bunk-beds which is always a plus. It's right in the town centre and it's got massive communal areas. Everything you could want from a hostel.
