Oaklands Lodge backpacker’s accommodation is based in Mount Eden, Auckland which is a trendy, inner-city suburb close to bus routes and Eden park. We offer hostel accommodation for backpackers and independent travelers.

Somewhere to stay away from the hustle, bustle and noise of a big city (which lets face it can keep you awake at night!) - But close (3km to city centre) to all Auckland has to offer? Somewhere comfortable, clean, with style and atmosphere?

Oakland’s Lodge may be exactly what you are looking for. We have a large selection of free movies, free local phone calls, free towels are available on request, we sell BBH membership cards, phone cards, onsite vending machine for snacks, a safe for your important belongings (i.e. passports), and we are a 1 minute walk to Mt Eden Village with numerous cafes, restaurants and bars for your enjoyment.

We are a small owner-operated hostel in a quiet, (no through traffic), tree lined street on the slopes of Mt. Eden offering affordable accommodation for independent travelers.

The Lodge is a large two storied house built in the late Victorian era. It has been recently renovated and includes a large kitchen, separate dining room/games room, TV lounge as well as a garden BBQ area.

In our games room you can play games or music or just chat. If you just want to relax, we have a reading room; you can watch TV or sit out in the garden.

Oakland’s Ave is a tree-lined oasis of green, with Mount Eden overlooking... A great place to chill out with a beautiful view from our lounge and front garden.

We make sure that our kitchen is clean at all times. We have two fridges, a freezer, an oven, microwave and 8 hobs plus plenty of cupboards to store your food.

You'll never be far from friends and family with STD/ISD phones, a fax service and the Internet available for sending and receiving Email.
