Liked: I was very sad to leave this place, i felt so at home! The staff are awesome...really helpful and friendly. Theres a huge guest kitchen and excellent bfast (good coffee!). The common area and bar are perfect for hanging around and they play good music all day long :)

Disliked: Not the cleanest rooms

Liked: good breakfast, perfect location 3 minutes walk to the beach, and 10 minutes tram ride to the centre of the Hague

Liked: The breakfast was fantastic, and though I didn't take advantage of it, the book and video library was quite extensive and the TV was huge.

Disliked: The showers didn't have shower heads. Water just came out of a hole in the wall. It was warm/hot, but not very strong.

Disliked: Very small rooms with 8 or 6 beds, pretty dirty and overall not a pleasant stay at all.

Liked: Very friendly staff who is always trying to make sure you are having a good time. Awesome common area and garden. Lovely neighborhood.

Disliked: The lockers are just pieces of wood nailed together, not very secure. The rooms are very crowded. If you want to be close to the Hague, this is not the place. You are actually in Scheveningen, a neighborhood on the far north end of the city, far from the sites of the city itself. That said, Scheveningen is a lovely beach town and fun to hang out at.

Liked: The whole stay was great!! I regret sooooo much that I just could spent one night there :(

Liked: I would definitely recommend Jorplace! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the place has a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere, a big kitchen, and a nice garden. You feel very welcome.

Disliked: A bit far away from the city centre - if you dont take the tram its quite a bit to walk. It would've been nice to have a local among the staff since no one really knew much about the city.

Disliked: Almost everything. I've just travelled aroung the whole of scandanavia & most of europe, staying in hostels. This was the worst........

Liked: very close to the beach, maybe 10 min walk. great chill area to meet people.

Disliked: was a little far from the city centre, though u can take a tram there, will take 10 min's.

Liked: Excellent place to stay by the beach. Clean, fun, friendly staff, great vibe in general, all facilities including kitchen available to everyone. Nice beds, bathrooms. We love this place!

Liked: Overall a good place to stay great value, good character, great breakfast etc. Only a couple of things let it down for us: 1, some of the staff were baked and had trouble with basic money calculations... Overall though, there were friendly and well meaning2, the bar closed a 1am. It sounds late by English standards but we'd gotten used to much later Dutch closing times of 3am-6am.

Liked: Everyone I met there was really friendly, it had a laid back atmosphere & a real community feel rather than separate groups keeping to themselves. The staff were great. I had a lot of fun there despite having a cold & only staying for one night. It made a really good impression in only a few hours.Thanks Jorplace I will be back next time I pass your way.

Liked: The location is very good, however, the room is quite small and the atmosphere is not so nice, especially during winter because the windows are closed. I would recommend this hostewl to somebody who has not enough money but wants to see ocean nearby.

Liked: It was a fun hostel, it's about 5 minutes from the center of Den Haag in the train and a 5 minute walk to the beach. We had the double on the street side and it was surprisingly noisy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but you often have to go find them in the lounge because they aren't at the desk very frequently. There is wifi internet, but you have to pay for it, which again, you have to hunt down a member of the staff.

Liked: Sehr hübsch eingerichtetes Surfer-Hostel direkt am Strand. Auch im Winter super für Städtetouren.

Liked: The owner (long-haired blond guy) and Trinity (NZ guy) were very helpful with getting to some of the local attractions. There were no "nasty surprises" at this hostel like I have experienced elsewhere; that is, no rates charged higher that advertised, or being nickeled and dimed with things like sheets and pillowcase, etc. Showers were hot and clean too. No lockout period is also a nice perk.
