Liked: We had a great time staying at the St Christophers. Its ideal for young travellers who are up for drinking and late nights. I wouldnt recommend it for people who fancy a good nights sleep as it is very loud at night times!! The rooms are very clean and nice hot showers. The hostel bar is lively and it is in a very good location right in the red light district. Would recommend staying there

Liked: The location was great:right in the centre, in a walkable distance of anything your heart may desire, 10 minutes from the centrall station but not on a weird dangerous little street. The breakfast is amazing:fruits, ham and cheese, cereals, jam, chocolate, fresh orange juice, coffee or tea. It was also clean. I stayed in a room with 8 beds and we had a shower and a toilet in the room but it was properly cleaned. Uhm...what else:security level was high enough to keep you safe, the luggage room monitorised. I was interested in getting some rest so I don't know about the atmosphere. What I can say is that I went to sleep at 23.00 on a Sunday night and there was just enough noise to know that the place is "alive" but also to get a good nights sleep. I definetely recomand it. I was very pleasently surprised.

Liked: This is the best hostel I have ever been to!! The staff was so much fun , and the atmosphere was amazing. The rooms were very nice and clean!! Free breakfast...great location!! Will definitely stay again : )

Liked: 1.spoted in the city center makes it very noisy especialy with the belushi's bar running on the ground floor.2.anyone can get the stairs or the lift and walk to the room floors, even a strainger because no one will notice since it is very crowded all the time.3.at the front desk one of the 2 men hardly spoke english!4. when i arrived the cleaning ladies had forgotten to change the sheet, which i understand was a mistake but still i was ill and had to wonder around since there is no quiet common space in the hostel at nights.5. the toilets in my room (6-bed mixed dorm) were in the room but werent cleaned every day!Anyway Amsterdam is a great city but i prefer to sleep in a quiet and 'warm' place rather than in a characterless dorm with a loud - joint friendly bar in the entrance (you can have a walk enjoy the city and her freedom all over, why in the hostel?).

Liked: Great staff, Allan really knows how to run a hostel :)Had a fantastic time here, met some great people. Beds are comfortable enough, showers are warm as you want. The lack of kitchen is the only problem with all st christopher hostels but that is a minor inconvenience! would definitely recommend this place to others who want a great time in amsterdam and be close to Centraal station as well as being right in the red light district!!!
