Liked: The place is great! They have a smokers bar which is great to meet people and the rooms are really good equipped. Besides it is really in the center of Amsterdam, two blocks away from Dam platz.

Disliked: The only problem is that people are really TOO loud. But hey they even give you free earplugs!

Liked: It's central but it ain't pretty, and it ain't cheap! For a solo traveller this is more like a bed to rest your head and that's it.

Disliked: Not so much a hostel as rooms attached to a commercial bar - it's hard to tell where the hostel/bar line is so not easy to meet other travellers. Room was dirty, to put a solo female traveller in a room of 7 guys was really inconsiderate, ensuite bathroom too so felt a little gross and flimsy lock didn't help either! There is NO KITCHEN, this sucks when all food nearby is very expensive. More like a battery farm hostel with no traveller community feel. Hardly any info provided for the area. Watch out for so called bar promotions, advertising fails to mention validity period - ridiculously expensive otherwise.

Liked: I enjoyed having a bar and club on the main floor, it made it really easy to just relax during the day and have a drink or look online with the wifi.

Disliked: Just have to expect it to be really loud on the weekends.

Liked: The location of this hostel is in a good central area about 5 minutes walk from the station. There is lots to do with a bar and clubs attached to the hostel and it also offers a good menu and prices that aren't too bad and if you are staying in the hostel you get 25% of meals. The staff are friendly and made an effort to talk to me as i was by myself. Allan, who is a senior member of staff really helped me out when there was a problem with the gig ticket i had bought through a third party, and to boot he bought me a shot. While i was talking to him a person walked in who could've threatened the good atmosphere of the bar, he immediately ejected him, keeping the safe atmosphere in tact. I decided to have a meal in the bar, burger and fries, and they were really good, good portions and tasted delicious. I stayed in one of the 6 bed dorms and it was clean and secure with a good mix of other guests. All in all my stay was very enjoyable which could've easily gone the other way if the staff had have been less friendly.

Disliked: The only thing that could possibly be a bad point was the noise from Warmoestraat below, my room was at the front of the building and there is some noise from the revellers coming up from the street, so if you are after a peaceful night sleep i recommend requesting a room to the rear or booking a less central hostel.

Liked: The room I stayed in was clean and my room mates friendly. Great idea to separate the shower from the toilet in the room. Bed was comfortable and I greatly appreciated the cigarette smoking spaces, both indoors and in the enclosed garden. Good music at the bar, too. It was everything I could have asked for in a hostel.

Disliked: I disliked the lack of coffee at breakfast. Maybe I didn't see it (all I saw was tea), but yeah, that was a downside.

Disliked: Toilets are small , and the rooms looking to the street are so noisy even if you close the windows , room temperature in winter is sooooo hot , you are being obliged to open windows.

Liked: Amazing staff! Since the first time I came in, I was treat like if I was part of the family. The location is the best: truly just one block from Red Light Distric and for night lovers, is the best place to be. Completely recommended and I would repeated again and again!
