location was perfect, some staff were good some bad, people staying with were cool, semi cleanliness, not the best beds, but quiet at night and close to red light district

The room was clean, a separate toilet and shower is certainly nice, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

This hostel is fun and vibrant, a fun place to stay and hang out in a great location. breakfast was great, as were the soap and towel left on the pillow. a little pricey but a nice stay. treat yourself to something else in amsteradm besides the hookers

I ordered my room from Hostelbookers and was under the impression that even tough I was traveling alone i have to book and pay for a double room.
I contacted the hotel my self and they fixed that and all so managed to extand my stay for another night, some thing i could not do online.
rooms are clean and well designed in an artistic way, but the place is old so you have to be prepered for that.

We liked the breakfast,very rich and definitely above average, when compared with other hostels we have ever been. It has really a great location. The room is quite tiny, but jist enough for one or two nights stay. It is quite clean. We really appreciated a large window in the room.

This hostel was pretty decent - there was a security door that people had to get buzzed through by the staff in order to enter the hostel section of the place (it's also a bar), there was internet onsite for 1 euro per half-hour, and it's right in the middle of the Red Light District. It's a very kitschy place - we were surprised by our room, which had paintings of different sexual acts all over it... if you can find the humor in that like we did, it's great. There's an elevator, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are clean.

The location and as a backpacker's hotel is good. However, it is really pricey but I guess they take advantage of the location and the prices of accommmodation in the city, which are generally expensive for what they offer.

It is conveniently located and offers all the basic things you need but on the whole is overpriced for what you get...At the same time, that seems to be the way things go in Amsterdam in terms of accommodation.

Fantastic location, nice drink specials before 11pm. It's expensive for a hostel, but they all are in Amsterdam anyway.

Great bar, perfect place to smoke some weed or enjoy breakfast in the sun. Always packed with people, cheap drinks and a good party every night. So close to everything in the centre of Amsterdam (edge of the RLD), easy to get around. Awesome mix of travellers - singles, couples, small groups - from all over the world.

Great breakfast. Belushi's attached to the hostel too. Felt a bit dodgy, being in the Red Light District, but it was okay. The rooms were relatively clean and secure. You even get a towel plus soaps and shampoo. Can barely hear the noise from the pub, but the people outside on the street can be pretty loud.
