Liked: Location was pretty good

Disliked: The staff are rude and unhelpful. The room was not cleaned (we found a green pill on the floor), with cigarette burn holes in the bedspread cover and holes in the towels. The window could not be shut as the latch was broken. The bathroom stank of sewage and had no venting except through the bedroom which meant the whole room smelt terrible. We complained to the staff several times, however, they were decidedly unhelpful. Don't expect to be treated as 'guests' at his hostel. Two cats are permitted to walk freely into the kitchen and dinning area, and are fed from bowls placed on the ground in the kitchen

Liked: located near the museum area, quite convenient. in the meanwhile, quiet room did guarantee us nice sleep. there's more to choose for breakfast.

Liked: decent location.. free breakfast.

Disliked: security.. not very secure at all! they had no locks in the rooms and i had to fork out 20Eur deposit just to use one in the lobby. the keycards for the rooms didn't work, they claimed they didn't have enough cards and there were people knocking on the doors at all hours! confort, was in a hot stuffy room in a top bunkbed that felt like i was falling apart, with ppl knocking on the door and a crook neck, didn't really enjoy the stay.

Liked: Ok place to stay, free breakfast and internet was good and it's in a nice neighbourhood close to the museums.

Disliked: Don't stay here if you want to meet people, it was one of the least sociable hostels i've stayed in in Europe. Dorms were extremely cramped and it was quite awkward to try and pack your bags or even move around the room if everyone was there.

Disliked: noise levels at front got high, but we advised staff and they moved us straight away to a quieter room

Liked: Nothing.

Disliked: The rooms were not clean at all. There was gum on the bedposts and the blankets had never been washed and were full of other people's hair. We did not receive our own locker to secure our belongings. The luggage room was not secure at all. There was one bathroom for 3 rooms. The elevator didn't go up to our floor. The room was tiny. It was impossible to close the window in the first room. We did not get an immediate move into our next room, although we had to wake up early to leave ours, and the room change is the fault of the hostel. There were not enough outlets to plug in a computer to enjoy the free wifi.

Liked: The fact that has a small refrigerator where we can put some food, and also a microwaves and clean dishes. That was nice!

Disliked: the breakfast was nothing special, and the room didn't smell very well

Liked: I liked that it was near Vondel Park.

Disliked: There are not enough keys for everyone. It's hard to meet people. The breakfast is not good and the beds are really loud. It is really expensive, especially for the quality of the hostel. It has few positive attributes. You need a bike to get around efficiently.

Liked: The location was great.

Disliked: It's huge, noisy and not particularly pretty. The carpets were stained, there were no curtains for our shower and the beds were noisy.

Liked: Awesome location. Very clean. Provided towels.

Disliked: The Bathrooms are not great. They're clean it's just that the shower is not in an enclosed area so when you use it the whole bathroom floor gets wet.

Liked: Value for money and clean. Friendly helpful staff. It served its purpose.

Disliked: The noise from other residents at night was really bad and the bathroom did not smell nice, I think due to there not being a window. An extractor fan of some sort should be installed. There was no butter available for breakfast on the 2nd morning.

Liked: The staff were friendly and willing to help. There is free internet access at reception. Breakfast was good. There's a bar at reception where you can hang out.

Disliked: The Hotel did not meet my expectations of a Hotel with an award for excellence (2010). The room (113) was for 2 people (twin). it was so small you couldn't swing a cat in it. The floor was artificial 'wood' that kept your feet sweaty (ie they couldn't dry). My bed was rocking up and down like a see-saw because the middle legs were longer than the foot and head legs. I had to get brochures from reception to jam under the foot legs so as to have a peaceful night's sleep. The window could only be partially opened. Not good when it's hot outside. The room looked tired. If you're two people, avoid room 113! Half of the bar at reception was cluttered with boxes. Overall, not a very promising impression of a hotel.

Disliked: Night recepcionist wasn`t helpful at all. It`s a bit far away from downtown.

Disliked: No shower curtain in a bathroom so all bathroom is wet after shower. One morning they run out of even butter in a breakfast.

Liked: safe, clean, and comfy, The breakfast was also good with a variety of food and drinks you don't see st every hostel.

Disliked: room was at the back of the kitchen where they staff hangs out rather loudly in the morning and constantly going back and forth to wash dishes and such.

Liked: It was in a nice, friendly area of Amsterdam. Breakfast was included in the price. Private rooms available. Safes to use. Friendly staff.

Disliked: Our triple room was small and there was damp on the wall.
