Liked: Honest price : hostel really clean and nice people.

Liked: The staff was really friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The room hadn't any kind of air conditioning. So you couldn't really breathe and the room was really hot.

Liked: Nothing.

Disliked: Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Dorm rooms were like a concentration camp, no space. No lockers Only one key card for the whole group. No comfortable common area

Liked: Staff was very nice.

Disliked: Very noisy. Many kids partying getting back late. Staircase and upper rooms were extremely noisy. And room quite warm (temperature wise).

Liked: Functional and clean rooms, we were even upgraded to a bigger room as it wasn't busy. The common room was great, as there is not much space to spare in the bedrooms.

Disliked: Obtained a few insect bites.

Disliked: our beds were to soft, we got our keys for un uncleaned room, to many little mistake during the check-in, like an extra amsterdam tax and so on....

Liked: The hostel was in a very central position compared to what we wanted to visit in Amsterdam. A good idea to place microwaveovens in the diningroom, and lovely, that we could eat our lunch and dinner in the diningroom. And when we had to check in for our flight home, the staff printet our boardingcards. Nice no smoking place! The staff was very friendly and helpfull, at the reception and in the kitchen, exept in the case of the note below.

Disliked: One thing, we did not like: On the 22. of october, we had to leave the hotel early in the morning to catch our plane. When we had checked out at half past six, we kindly asked for a cup of coffee. The receptionist said no, because there were somebody preparing breakfast in the room, but we could buy a cup from the automat - 1Euro a pr cup! We said, that we had paid for breakfast, and just wanted a cup af coffee. We got this answer: After 7 a clock it is for free! But in our opinion it is not "free", when we had paid a room with breakfast. Of course we were aware, that breakfast was served from 7-10. We could have wanted a little more flexibility in this case.

Liked: Good value for money. Good breakfast included. Staff were friendly and helpful. I cancelled one of the rooms I booked a few days before going by email diect to the hostel and got email right back from hostel on a Sunday to confirm this was fine. All went smooth and fine. I don't know what the people on trip advisor who are moaning are expecting for the bargin price you pay. We had private rooms for 4, with own shower, toilet and TV for just over £20 each per night!!

Disliked: It is quite far out, but then you should know that when you book it and be prepared for some walking, or spend extra on transport if you prefer not to walk.

Liked: I had two private rooms for 6 people (group of 12 on a stag do!) and all of the boys were pleased with the accommodation. Good price, free breakfast and good value for money.

Liked: I unfortunately didn't like much about this property.

Disliked: I unfortunately got bed bugs!!! Though the internet was free, there weren't enough computers and if someone was waiting you could only use it for 15mins.

Liked: Private rooms were cleaned daily and towels were replaced daily. Communal breakfast area was a great way to met other travellers and although a little way out from the city centre was certainly within walking distance once you knew your way around.

Disliked: No lift to 5th floor and steps from fourth to fifth floor were very narrow and steep. The lift did however go up to the fourth floor.

Liked: The night time receptionist was friendly.

Disliked: The rooms were so hot and oppressive and there was very little ventiliation. The walls were paper thin and we were told for for chatting at 12pm. Facilities are sparse and the breakfast consists of bread - no toasters - and limited condiments. £40 for a bed in a room of 6 is not good value at all.

Liked: Great location, easy to navigate way to Centrum as well as nearby Albert Hein for groceries for a lovely picnic at the museum plein.

Disliked: Bathroom shower leaked all over the flooring but the shower was hot so I can't complain too much.

Liked: Not much if I'm honest. The atmosphere was poor..

Disliked: It's too far away from main attractions, It wasn't cleaned very well and the staff were a little distant. Oh, and the room advertised as 'two single beds' was two single beds pushed together because the room was so small.

Liked: functional city centreish location, cracking value breakfasts, plenty of food restocked very regularly, nice clean bathroom and shower, very secure door locked but night people at door

Disliked: could have been more events to mix i did see a poster about drinks night, could work on that side a bit, maybe amsterdam is such a vibrant place people go more with friends not sure
