the rooms are too small, but the common areas are very good. It's too far from the city centre,but close to the Vondelpark

The hostel was very clean and tidy, much respect to the housekeeping crew! The front desk was hit-or-miss, meaning sometimes they were "too busy" on the phone (an Asian Male), but sometimes they were very helpful (female). Anyways, it was a good stay.
Why was the bar closed?

Nice free breakfast - ham, turkey brest, salami, cheese, boiled eggs, wheat/white bread with 2 jams, chocolate sauce n butter , bun, cakes, 3 types of fruit juice n milk, coffee n tea, 2 types of cereal. Excellent. The environment is clean as well, friendly staff who are happy to tell you where the nearest supermarket is, the trams/ buses to the central station/ other attractions. Location is perfect, just 2 minutes walk from the bus/ tram station. Overall speaking, very free, clean n comfy place to stay.

The location was good for someone who likes the museums. Right next to the Rykes museum and the Van Gogh museum. Kinda far from the cafes and rl district, but Amsterdam is pretty small so pretty much everything was walkable. Really good breakfast that was included in the price.

Very good breakfast, the room was clean and quiet enough to get a good night sleep. Friendly staff. The bathroom was nice and clean exept for the shower and walls.

It's non-smoking, great breakfast included, safe, secure, helpful staff, and outside of the city enough to be quite and clean but close enough to access everything easily.

free internet access, breakfast was excellent, and the quirky setup of the rooms - not an average hostel, very individual. Loved the clog keyrings!
