Liked: The hostel was very unique and Romeo at the front desk was very helpful in helping us find places to see and things to do. I would highly recommend staying there, just beware of the stairs!!!

Liked: Super friendly staff ( Romeo). But it was very noisy in the early mornings as there was a truck unloading goods each morning. no sink to wash hands in the toilet.

Liked: A safe and relaxed place. Very good if you just need a bed to stay in and want something that feels secure, but not so good if you're looking for a fun and exciting hostel experience.

Liked: Very steep stairs - dont bring suitcases here!One toilet on the whole floor of 20 odd people. No soap anywhere.Pay extra for towels and lockers - none in the room. Not the safest room.Showers were uselss - ran hot and cold so we went without.Only bonus was the location.

Liked: The staff is very helpful and nice. Including the cat so make sure you know beforehand if you are allergic. Located right in the heart of the city and between most of the coffee shops and the red light district. Definately worth it for the affordable price

Liked: Hostle cosmos was great. Clean located within easy walking distance of everything you'de want to check out, staff was always friendly and helpful. I stayed 2 nights, the first night my 9 bed room was full and I still was able to get some great sleep the next night, a Sunday, I was the only person left after the weekend crowd had moved out. Even with a packed place over the weekend they kept the room, beds, bathrooms and showers spotless. If all you really need from your hostel is shelter for the night then Cosmos is great but as for a place to hangout when not at bars it's probably not best for that. The common area is quite tiny, the rooms are spacious but will usually be empty if people are out doing stuff. I'd happily come back to Cosmos any time.

Liked: Pretty helpful staff, location could not be better just by the red light district and such, plenty of decent coffeshops around and decent places to eat, althought if on a budget mite have to travel a fair bit, 10min to nemo, all good. Only 2 showers, can be expected from most places anyway and those stairs are killers when wasted trying to go up them stairs

Liked: The hostel was smaller than I thought but very friendly, and the staff were very helpful. The best thing about the hostel was Simba the cat! :D

Liked: Most of the staff was really nice. The beds are really comfortable! There is a cat and the stairs are extremely steep. The ally the Hostel is in is a little shady, but once your inside it isn't bad.

Liked: You will probably find a better place to stay in Amsterdam. Too expensive, terrible value for money. The rooms were quite small and old, no luggage room, no breakfast, the security lockers were really small and no safe at all, and you have to pay more money to use it. The stairs were terrible, it was difficult to get to the second floor with my big suitcase; just one toilet and one shower for each floor; no area to meet new people. And, well, I don´t have any problems with pets, I quite like them, and Simba was ok, but one day, when I arrived late night he was sleeping in my room, with the door closed! yuck! so this was too much for me.

Liked: This hostel was not the best place we have stayed in over our 2 month trip. The major plus sides were the great location in the middle of the main part of the city, and the comfy beds that we slept in. The hostel didnt offer breakfast or many other extras, and for the prices we payed in comparison, this was a little disappointing. However, Amsterdam in general is an expensive city, so I guess you might have to pay more for extra facilities.
