Liked: I have stayed at the Vita Nova several times and it has always been a pleasure. Walm welcome from friendly staff. Warm beds, good food, nice and chilled out environment

Liked: Loved the boat, it was a great novelty to sleep in the middle of Amsterdam on a barge! So close to everything (Tram, trains and museums). Fantastic breakfast, so filling and well presented. Our first fresh bread since leaving NZ! (4 months ago). The smallness was cosy and ok for 4 nights.

Disliked: The smell of smoke! We booked a non smoking place specifically and now our clothes stink :(

Liked: It was a boat!! Can't get much more awesome or Dutch than that. Breakfast was great, the room wasn't too small and had a sink and mirror in it which was convenient. The staff were every helpful.

Disliked: the directions to get there were a little too simple. It just says "go left" but it's a huge intersection. A photo or a little route drawn on a map would be more helpful. Showers were ehh tiny and no room for clothes/changing, but what can you do. If water noises or occasional rocking on extremely windy evenings bothers you it might not be for you.

Liked: Friendly staff, excelent breakfast, and cheap compared to other hotels in town.

Disliked: Just one toilet (one for mans and other for womens) for over 15 rooms, VERY small rooms, and very poor ventilation.

Liked: Really close to the central station, OBA and Nemo; good prices; good and clean facilities; helpful and cheerful staff.

Liked: Nice place to stay! We were happy to spend our time there, the rooms are not very big, but it is enogh spase for everyone. In the near is Nemo, apr. 5 min for a walk, it was great becouse of disgusting weather outside, and city center is 15 min for a walk. The stuff is very nice middle-aged manand nice woman, they are really helpful, we wundered how did thez mannaged to organize this property so wonderful.

Disliked: A little bit noisy, becouse cabins are under main deck, when someboudy is wakling we heard every step, but in night it is no whisper to hear, becouse cars are really far, so we slept very well.

Liked: The location is perfect as it's a 10 minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city! The staff are so helpful and breakfast was fantastic! Highly recommended!

Liked: I absolutely loved this youth hostel. I thought it had a lot of character and was everything it said it was when advertised on the website. The owner was very helpful and was more than willing to give us directions and recommendations on restaurants in the local area.

Disliked: There really wasn't anything to dislike at this hotel.

Liked: good location & the novelty of staying on a boat. free buffet breakfast, cereals etc was pretty good Rooms were secure

Disliked: There was a horrible smell coming from the sink, like the septic tank was being emptied and the smell was coming up through the sink. Not pleasant but it gets you out of bed in the morning! Doesn't help your appetite for breakfast though! Also beds weren't made & there was no sheet for my duvet

Liked: It was such a cool feeling to be on this boat, having breakfast while looking at the water of the harbour - so quiet but close to the hectic center of the city :-)

Disliked: The rooms were very small and without a private toilet and shower. You need some skills to lift yourself up to upper bed, you can´t be too tall (1,80m at the most) to fit in the beds properly. Also it was quite noisy in the morning when other people got up early and had breakfast.

Liked: The hotel was centrally located 15 min walking distance from the central station . The owner was super friendly guy and very very helpful . The place was quite clean but the cabins were very very tiny . So overall it was quite good experience to stay in a small ship .

Liked: The staff was super nice! The breakfast was great, and we were right in the middle of a lot of fun things to do.

Disliked: The place was great, because we came during a cold part of the year, the bathroom was REALLY cold. But that is what you get for staying on a boat haha.

Liked: We had a good a time on the boat! True that the rooms are small but it's autentic! The owner of the boat is very nice, we had good advises (visits, bikes rental, etc.). And the price include a good breakfast!

Liked: Single rooms were small but still enough space for one person. Breakfasts were very good with lots of options and the host (Jon) was very friendly and helpful. Great place for meeting people.

Liked: Great big breakfast, helpful staff, convenient location, close to central amsterdam. Great value for money. if staying for 2 to 3 nights it is perfect.

Liked: Really a great place, the staff is extremely friendly, breakfast is more then enough, location in the centre, near metro and central railway station

Disliked: I think the room was really small for the price we payed, but I just can't find anything other I disliked during my stay

Liked: An unusual experience, staying on a boat. The room's basically a cabin, no room to swing a cat in, but if you're only using accomodation to crash in, as i was, no problem. The toilet/shower facilities quite basic, but once again, you're staying on a boat, so what do you expect. It could be noisy at times so earplugs recommended. Breakfast's great and free internet- good value.

Disliked: Toilet/ showers a bit cramped. Sometimes noisy in the morning.
