Hotel The Golden Bear opened in 1948 & was Amsterdam’s first exclusively gay-hotel. It is nowadays the most popular place to stay for gays and lesbians. The hotel is located in two historic buildings dating from 1737. Close to all the gay bars, clubs and saunas.

To reach the hotel from Schiphol Airport, you can take any train from Schiphol Station to Amsterdam Central Station (Amsterdam CS) - a twenty minute ride.

From Amsterdam CS you can take a tram - Lines 1, 2 or 5 to Keizersgracht / Leidsestraat (see tram stops on map).
