What can I say? The place is perfect: a cheap, charming place to stay, right on a canal, two blocks from the central train station. Perfect.

The hostel's about a ten minute walk from the Centraal Station, which is nice if you have a big heavy bag as I did. The owner is the same as Hotel Hortus, which is also a great hostel. Free tea and coffee all day, which was great while we were there because the weather sucked. The british dude who runs the place is very nice and gave us some great recommendations about where to go for all different kinds of things (amsterdam-only things, as well). we were allowed to leave our bags there all day after checking out in the morning... very nice because we would have had to drag our bags around for 12 hours otherwise. you can smoke everywhere in the hostel and watch TV in the lounge... again: great for bad weather.

The Locatiopn of the Hostel is very good. Idislike, that is allowed to smoke while the breakfast.

The people are very friendly, the atmosphere is like a big family. No long way to go to the central station. Staff was very nice and helpful. Was a great stay, we would come back.
