Convenient location generally clean, but our room smelt like it had been painted on the day we arrived and I woke with a terrible head ache due to the smell

It has a great location near the train station and in front of a canal in addition to being one of the cheaper places in Amsterdam. That is really all it has going for it. The carpet is pretty gross and the downstairs is kind of dump with people smoking pot. But it seemed to be cleaned daily--just can't vouch for it looking at the scraggly crowd there. It is safe.

People staying there were friendly and staff was attentive. Location was 5* and it was good value for money. I enjoyed myself alot and would recomend the brian hotel anyday.

the location was key for me. It's really close to the center and to the train station but still fearly peaceful. the Staff was great. Could have talked for hours. small and friendly. definitely recommend for a small group of friends.

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The place certainly had Amsterdam charm. The breakfast was a nice surprise-eggs!
