 Our room was unavailable, so we got an upgrade to an apartment! Very nice - window overlooking the street and comfy furniture.

Central location, very easy access to the sites of Amsterdam. Very helpfull staff, even arranged accpmodation so we saved money!

The rooms were fantastic, very clean and just a great environment to be in. It was in a great location as everywhere we had planned to go was within walking distance. The staff were lovely and always had a smile on their face. Breakfast was fabulous and the Greenhouse effect just made our stay in Amsterdam awesome!!

i felt very safe and at home despite being so close to red light ;) i was able to leave my things and not worry. and had a perfect location in regards to my places of interest

We got upgraded to an amazing apartment for free! It was a great place to stay, centrail to everything, and good free breakfast!!

We were given the apartment. It was great! Definately was not expecting that. Would recommend staying at The Greenhouse Effect. Made the stay in Amsterdam even better.

It might be not recommanded for someone has the heavy bagge or single woman. Although It is located in the red light distict, it's a lillte bit hard to find. Generally, the hostess is nice and friendly.

As we were only there for a night we didn't want to venture too far and the GHE was perfect. Great Coffee shop and bar and a stones throw from the station and damrak.

We had a grat time in the Greenhouse effect! Staff is very friendly and the rooms are fantastic! We stayed in the retro twin, clean and really nice. Thanks guys, we will be back!

Hostel is perfect for those in the 'dam to party.
Room themes were cool - would have rated atmosphere & character higher if not for the renovations going on.

The private apartments are a little bit more expensive but you get your own private space that you can relax in, well worth paying the bit more.

A very interesting concept of bedroom - I've stayed at the Arab one, and it was extremely original. Excellent breakfast and safety. Good atmosphere and great location!

If you are a smoker (which I am not) then yes its great! Every night is like saturday night. The staff are friendly and very approachable. I should have known better than to book somewhere cheap. You get what you pay for. If you are a runner and racing in the city pay the extra and get a 4 star hotel somewhere quiet where you can prepare for your race. If you are in the city to party then yes its perfect!
