Customer reviewWORST property we have stayed in out of nearly 3 months travelling, and one of the most expensive. Property is a long tram ride from the main areas of town, the whole hostel smelt so much we had to keep the window open nearly the whole time, beds didn't seem to have been cleaned, so we ended up sleeping on our sleeping bags. Did have a nice hamburger restaurant nearby, can't remember the name, but it was yellow out front with a smiling hamburger. If you do stay here definately get a "Strippen Card" for the trams, as if you buy tickets onboard they are really expensive. |

Customer reviewthe hostel was dirty and dodgy, wouldnt even call it a hostel as we didnt see other guests. there are electrical wires hanging out the walls and cieling, dust all over the room, mould on the walls, no hot water, pubic hairs in the beds, no window shades, and the area is quite unsafe if you are alone. would definately never ever stay here again, would not recomend it to any body unless on the most extreme tight budget. the only good thing is the tram right on the street to get into centraal station easily. also the wfi does NOT work! |

Customer reviewI booked it on the last day, was very expensive. They have one floor in a building and some other rooms in the center. We didn't see anybody else staying there since our room had its own entrance. was a damp, stuffy basement room with a horrible smell and lots of spiders and webs and a glass door. Worse than resisting that smell, spiders and moist, we didn't feel safe there. Bathroom was disgusting, linens were dirty. We were like left in the middle of nowhere. There is no reception desk or something that you can ask for clean stuff, there is not even a hostel. It is a place I'd even doubt to stay for free, but I paid a lot. You have to pay in advance so we couldn't move to another place for the second night. Try to find somewhere else. At least don't stay that double room in the center. Dorms might be better. |

Christian SteinerIt was a very nice place to stay, except the showerdoor was broken and not fixed at that time. But that was also the only problem we experienced. |

Sarah MossWe were pleased that the property had television, including English channels such as BBC. As Amsterdam prices go it was okay value for money and the nearby park is nice. However, the room was not especially clean and the hostel is about 13 tram stops from the city centre (costs about 12 Euros in a taxi). Also there was no common room area, so we did not meet anybody. It was more like a private flat than a hostel. |

Customer reviewThe fact that we had access to a stove and refredigator was the only perk of this room. |

Customer reviewThe area is very nice during the day... At night its a different story. A little ways away from the nightlife, but renting a bike was easy to do and helped me get around. Rene, the manager was nice enough and let us be while we were there.. he didnt really seem interested in trying to understand a problem I had with the booking website and was more interested in talking to Americans like we dont know how to use phones.. anyways I doubt I would stay there again but if you're looking for more of the 'hazy' Amsterdam trip this is a good place for you |

Customer reviewThe owner Renee was very friendly and helpful. He met all of our requests. We didn't have any trouble getting in touch with him. The staff member however was very creepy. The hostel could definitely use some improvements. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're too particular about cleanliness. It is located right next to the tram and a number of cute coffee shops, an internet cafe and an Albert grocery store. We stayed here to save money and we got what we paid for. |

Customer reviewThe man that greeted us was very nice and friendly, and immediately made a fantastic impression of the whole of the Netherlands on us. However he didn't bring us the room receipt he said he would, and we couldn't find him when we needed to. The hostel is out of where the main action is, but still in a cool area and only a 30min walk from everything (or tram if you want to spend the money). One of the two shower's hot water didn't work, and I wasn't convinced that our sheets etc had been washed since the last person used them. We wouldn't have minded any of this at all, if the price had of reflected it, but it didn't. |
