Awesome place to chill out after a crazy day in Amsterdam, it is a bit out of town but the relaxing atmosphere makes up for it and connections to amstersdam are excellent.

Shared bathrooms and showers were always clean, awesome cooking facilities, good shuttle service to train station and lovely close by village with shops.

Absolutely loved the caravan it was cute and very comfortable. If your lucky enough to get some good weather the outside seating is perfect for sitting reading a book/ chatting and having a peaceful smoke. Very quiet at night, great for ending long days walking round amsterdam. The kitchen is a great way to save some money on food as its expensive here. Although it takes about 30 mins to get here from the centre it's definately worth the extra travelling. We loved it thanks x

I really liked how the double rooms were set up. Each set of people for a double gets a small trailor. You are able to lock your stuff in the trailor and therefore keep your stuff out instead of having put it all back into a locker. My favorite was the overall enviroment. There are hammocks, fountains, scuptures, a lounge, a place to cook and more.

The staff was great, and it was an awesome place for relaxing, in the middle of the nature, and yet so easy to get to the city of Amsterdam.

It's very chill smaller hostel. the only negative side that it is kind of far from city center, but if you're going to Amsterdam for a lengthier time (I was there 2 days) then it's even better cause it let's you get away from hecticness of the city!

The atmosphere is really chilled out- you're staying in caravans which is a cosy little change from regular hostel dorms/rooms. The lake really is beautiful and in summer it would be perfect for lounging around sunbathing and swimming. It was a great place to be if you really are in Amsterdam for the smoking weed side to things. Lucky Lake prides itself on allowing you to smoke anywhere on the premises (besides in the caravans) and I think i was the only non-smoker there. Nothing wrong with that- but because I wasn't lying around in hammocks smoking and wanted to be in the city centre, the location was a problem. Be aware that you will need to spend a fair amount on transport every day (four strips of a 15 strip card plus money for a bus or 2 euros for the hostel run shuttle each way).

Especially the friendly staff and the way the place is set up: nice areas to get together and also places to be alone.

the special atmpsphere. very relaxing chill out area , really nice helpfull staff. possibility to store your own food in a clean fridge , to cook to have a bbq.

Loved the location near the lake. Great staff and uber-relaxing atmosphere. Might be cold but they provide free blankets. Pay for small space heater. Some people consider it "camping" but you have your own private caravan and a public lounge. Kichen and bathroom facilities were better than expected...Great Hot water for showers.

I liked everthing about this hostel, it was great, the people we met were great, so many different cultures in one area, was really interesting to talk to other vistors to Amsterdam. The staff at the facility were wonderful and very accomodating, I will definately be back one day, my experience in Amsterdam was amazing, really a fantastic place to visit.
