lovely location, facilities spot on and really clean, had it's own identity, owner was really chilled out and staff were really helpful and nice. brilliant place, liked that there were bikes and kayaks, and DUCKS too! Would go back and have already recommended it to friends. i like that they don't allow under 17s, and that there were no yobby stag parties - it was tranquil and beautful. and whenever i hear Seal singing 'crazy' i'll remember sunny days being chauffered to the metro!

This hostel is ideal if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam city. It is set near an enormous lake and beautiful surroundings. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We liked it here so much we stayed at Lucky Lake twice!!!

very clean and the staff were all very friendly. Also although it is a little far from the centre of Amsterdam public transport is great and the hostel offers a great shuttle system.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere because of the staff and the other people who are usually attracted to a camping site. The campers were cozy and perfect for a couple days stay. Another item I particularly liked was the range of items they had, such as cooking items, free utensils to borrow, a little snack bar, a tv with movies, internet. It was awesome because although the place is small it had all the essentials. The only complaint I have is that the last time we stayed there we had difficulty getting to the camp site at the hour we said we would due to airport delays, so they gave our room away but then fixed the problem with a couple of imperfections. The point being if you say you are going to arrive at a certain time and you can't, definitely remember to call and tell them, otherwise you might miss out.

if you want to get away from the centre of amsterdam and chill this is the place to go, it was very clean and friendly, we loved it and will be going again very soon!!!!!

really peaceful and chilled atmosphere, easy to get to by the metro and bus, was nice to see alittle bit more of Holland, but still really really close to the centre

I liked the fact that we stayed in caravans and not in a busy building. Lots of scenic routes, and because we're out of the city it's nice and quiet. Its good for couples and small groups. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Although the hostel is quite far from the Amsterdam centre, I like the hostel place: beautiful lake, nice houses around, and especially the peacful view in the morning.

The staff were hillarious and very personable. Other people there said it was one of the better maintained hostels they had been in.
